Carefully crafted in New York & Indiana, The Eucalyptus Sweater by Esther Andrews is a garment as special as your wedding gown. This sweater can be worn again and again, or preserved for future generations in the handmade cedar box it is shipped in. :)
A note from the designer on this beautiful piece:
"The Journey:
This little garden of a sweater is made between our trusted manufactuer in NYC & our studio in Indiana where each little eucalytpus leaf is crocheted by hand.
Materials:
BODY: 25%Cashmere 57%Superfine Merino Wool 18%Nylon certifed by the Sustainable Fiber Alliance, The Good Cashmere Standard, and the Alliance Committee for Animal Welfair.
CROCHET: 95% Organic Cotton, 5% Cashmere certified by the Organic Cotton Standard, the Global Organic Textile Standard, and the Better Cotton Initiative.
Protective Ecosystem:
Our garments are family heirlooms and their packaging needs to keep them safe. Our packaging are custom made wooden boxes -- protective ecosystems that safeguard your sweater from gravity, hungry moths, and the aging effects of time.
Skillfully made by local woodworker, Dustin Case. He makes the boxes in his Indiana studio just 15 minutes away from us.
Caring Heritage:
Inside each box are step by step instructions for how to care for your sweater. We believe that sharing how to properly care for your clothing is a form of love. A special kind of inheritance that you can pass on to future generations."
